After graduating from high school in 1993, Shone went to work for one of the first all-digital pre-press companies in the Twin Cities metro area (Minneapolis–Saint Paul). He worked at Electric Easel in the pre-press and customer service departments, before moving to Artwork-Systems, now part of Esko, in 1998. Since then he has held a number of positions within Esko including: customer support, training and sales. In 2016, he moved from Senior Application Specialist, Team Lead of solution deployment to Application Sales Manager, East Coast.
