Dean Wimer is a versatile senior management and operations executive with a history of success in driving business growth and delivering major improvements in cash flow, operating margins, productivity, safety, and operational effectiveness. Before joining WS Packaging, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Innovairre Communications, a $300 million global direct mailer specializing in non-profit organizations. Over a four-year period, Dean transformed the business into the market leader, implementing supply chain and technology solutions which resulted in $30M in synergies. To drive this transformation, he also recruited and developed eight management teams across the US and Asia. Prior to that, Dean served as Vice President of Manufacturing for a 3400 employee, $900 million Sunday Magazine, Retail & Canada business unit of Quad Graphics, an industry leader in the commercial print market. Dean also transformed the financial and operational performance of a 7000-employee, $1.5 billion Marketing Solutions Group of World Color Press, a company purchased by Quad Graphics. As Executive Vice President of Manufacturing, he reshaped the company’s retail, direct mail, long-run magazine and catalog divisions, providing oversight for 25 manufacturing facilities across North America. Before its name change to World Color, the company had previously been known as Quebecor World, where Dean led a successful turnaround of a 350 employee, $75 million print facility experiencing customer, union, and operational issues. Dean received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Akron.
